## Summary / General Information

This article explains how to *add*, *manage*, and *archive *user accounts in **Kenect**, including assigning roles, setting message visibility, and handling user updates like reassignments or password resets. You’ll learn how to add new users, select the right permissions, and manage existing users efficiently.

Recent updates now unify **Kenect** and the **Kenect Service Hub** user management, centralizing all creation, editing, and deletion in Kenect. The **“Users”** and **“My Profile”** links in the Service Hub now redirect to Kenect, where roles are set based on the user’s Kenect role and the Service Hub feature flag. Two new fields — **Title** and **Mobile** — support smoother data mapping (required only for Service Hub users), and all updates sync automatically between systems. These changes simplify management, streamline the user experience, and lay the foundation for a fully integrated, SSO-enabled platform.

### Adding a User [Service Hub]

Creation of users will be managed in Kenect. This functionality will continue to be in the Admin menu as well as on the “Users” page.

- There will be two additional profile fields that are not required for Kenect users but will be for Service Hub users: **Title **and **Phone**.
- There will also be a field for the role that the user will be assigned inside of Service Hub.
 - Only a single role is assigned to a user and isn’t assigned per location.
 - Depending on whether the Kenect role is an external or internal user role will determine which user roles are available from the role dropdown.
 - Existing Kenect customers will receive a role based on their highest Kenect role.
 - Users can be created via CSV as per usual inside of Kenect. There is an additional field for ?Service Hub roles.
 - Once a user has been created in Kenect, the user page in the Service Hub will display limited fields that can be edited.
 - Any fields or sections that need to be edited in Kenect will have a button to redirect the user to the appropriate page in Kenect to edit those fields.

### Managing Existing Users [Service Hub]

Recent updates allow user management to mainly occur within Kenect, however there are some fields that are only managed from the Service Hub.

- **Associated Dealerships:** allows users in the Service Hub to be tied to any dealerships [locations] that the Dealer Group [organization] may have.
- **Send tasks via SMS / Email:** when a task is created within the Service Hub, a text or email can be sent to the user via contact details on their profile.

#### Editing a User

Any place a field needs to be managed in Kenect, the redirect button can be used to reroute you to the appropriate location and make edits. Any changes to the user will be pushed to the Service Hub.
