# **Top 10 Desktop Tips**

As a new user you are trying to quickly get familiar with Kenect! Here are some of our top tips!

1. When starting a new message, make sure you are adding new templates to your library! The star and lightning bolt icon just above where you type your message, (which hopefully you already know!) Give you access to previous templates. If you want to add new message templates, click on the settings gear and select 'Message Templates' add as many messages as will make your life easier!

2. When beginning with Kenect, you will be adding in clients to message one a time. Why not upload your contacts in directly! If you have an integration with Kenect this should already be happening, if not, you can reference
  1. THIS article for instructions on getting a file ready for upload into Kenect!
3. Make sure to save Kenect as a bookmarked page in your web browser!
4. If you ever forget your password, go to [http://app.kenect.com](http://app.kenect.com) and click on 'forgot password'. Enter your information and you'll be emailed a new link to get logged in!
5. If you ever want to customize or add in a message signature, navigate under the settings, and select 'Account'. The Kenect recommendation is a simple signature that includes your first, last name and title.
6. Your notifications are a huge help on letting you know when you get a new text! Make sure you have adapted your notifications (also under settings) to fit your needs.
7. In addition to regular notifications, you can also set up 'Reminders!' Reminders give you the ability if you are with a client or busy, to receive a repeat notification. This is of particular importance when receiving new leads or for any other time sensitive information.
8. Creating a contact is great, but did you know you can also add information like: Email, Company Name, and add files to the contact for quicker access!
9. Make sure to keep your preferred internet browser up to date! Kenect is always releasing new features and bug fixes, you don't want to miss any important changes!
10. Always Remember: Contact your Kenect CSM! They are anxious to assist you and want to provide any and all assistance they can!

# **Top 10 Mobile Tips**

As a new user, you are trying to quickly get familiar with Kenect! Here are some of our top tips!

1. When you first download the app, make sure your app is set to 'auto update', Kenect will release new versions of the app that will cause previous versions to perform poorly.
2. In addition to 'auto updating' the mobile app, also make sure your phone is on the latest operating system for your device!
3. If you ever see a difference between what you see on the desktop version and mobile version for messages, navigate to your settings in the mobile app, and under 'Advanced' select 'Cloud Sync' and 'Start Cloud Sync' This pushes a hard data to refresh to your phone so you can get up to speed quickly.
4. To quickly access message templates you normally use on the desktop, open a new message, just to the left of where you type and click on the '+' icon, this will open up your additional options!

5. If you swipe left on a message in your inbox, you can: Go to Contact, Assign the message or Mark it as closed! If you swipe right you can share the lead with another location attached to your Kenect organization!
6. You can edit your app notifications, change your password and find all your CSM contact information in settings!
7. If you are an Admin of Kenect you can respond to new reviews left for your business via the reviews tab in the mobile app!
8. Just like the desktop version of Kenect, you can quickly toggle between the different inbox types (Open Messages, Assigned To Me, Unread, Need Response)
9. If you ever want to send an attachment via the mobile app, consider taking a screenshot of the needed document and sending it to the client. Most operating systems now give the ability to add in text boxes for signatures.
10. While configured in the desktop, make sure that your permissions are set up correctly so you only see the messages you need to! This will help prevent unnecessary app notifications.
