This article outlines the function of the various Do Not Contact abilities under the contact settings within Kenect. Customers now have the ability to take additional action with their contacts and mark them on a "Do Not Contact" list for both text and email. This new feature allows users to block communication with customers and essentially manually opt-out a customer from text and email communication. So block out the haters, or just really obnoxious spam.

There are 3 actions you can take:

> ℹ️ ***Note: Each of the below actions can be taken from within the contact drawer on inbox, contacts tab, and from within the contact in mobile app. ***

####

#### **Action 1: Block Inbound Text Messages**

When this option is toggled on, any inbound message will not come into Kenect. ***Note: This does not apply to Facebook messages***

#### **Action 2: Do Not Text**

This can be toggled on by a user and when done so, outbound messages will not go out to the customer whether sent manually or form integration. The system will prevent it and display a message indicating so if attempted.

#### **Action 3: Do Not Email**

This can be toggled on by a user and when done so, no email review requests will be sent to this contact. Emails are only sent as part of integrations that came over from Friendemic (*Ex: Dealervault, Dealertrack, PAG, Friendemic, CDK, FCA). ****Note: As a reminder an email will ONLY be sent to contact that DOES NOT have any phone number in their contact.***
