This article provides some additional insights into the functionality of attachments in Kenect. This article may be updated from time to time with additional information. So pay attention… that’s important to do.

#### **How are attachments sent through Kenect? **

Attachments are currently sent through our messaging service. This service does a check to confirm the size of the attachment. If the attachment is under 512kb, then it will send the original file through MMS (i.e, jpg, gif, mp4). If the file size is over 512kb then the Kenect app will store the file in the cloud and convert the file into a link that will be sent to the recipient.

*Note: Regardless of the size, PDFs will always be converted into a link. *

**How do I send an attachment?**

Once in Kenect, open a new message and just above where you type click on the paper clip icon, from your computer select an attachment to send. To send an attachment more quickly, simply drag and drop your image into your open conversation in Kenect. From the mobile app, open a new conversation, click on the blue + icon, and select an image to send.

#### **What does the experience look like for recipient receiving an attachment message? **

For attachments below 512kb, the recipient will receive the file in the message thread similar to what most consumers experience when sending and receiving files through MMS (non iMessage):

For attachments that are over 512kb, the recipient will receive the file as a link that they will need to click on in order to access the file.

#### **What is the largest file size a customer can send through Kenect? **

Files can be up to 500MB.
