# **Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)**

- **Can I change out the primary phone number for a contact?**
  - No, once a contact has a saved number and a conversation has been started you are unable to edit the phone number. If you need to change the phone number, we recommend creating a brand new contact within Kenect.
    - If you do need to update the number, rename the old contact (e.g. John Doe DNU or John Doe OLD CONTACT) to avoid any confusion with the new contact profile containing the new number.
