# **Purpose**

In this article, you'll learn how to share a lead. Whether you receive an inbound lead to the wrong location, or a customer needs to work with a different location, sharing a lead is a quick way to route your customer(s) to the right location. Sharing a lead only applies if you have more than one location.

# **Share a Lead on Desktop Version**

#### **Step-by-Step Guide**

1. There are two options for sharing a lead within the desktop version of Kenect.

- From the Inbox screen:
  - Click on the three vertical dots next to the contacts name and select 'Share Lead.'

- From the conversation:
  - Click on the three vertical dots in the top-right corner and select 'Share Lead.'

2. A new window will appear. Click the Location drop-down menu to select the intended location. Leave a comment for that location so they know why this lead is being sent to them.

3. After you share the lead you will see a message appear in the conversation notifying you and the customer of the lead share.

> ℹ️ *Note: the black message is an internal message that you and the other location will see. When you receive a lead from another location, it will show you who shared the lead. The message above is what your customer will see. They will get messages from the other location's number moving forward.*

# **Share a Lead on Mobile Version**

**Step-by-Step Guide**

1. From the Inbox screen, open the conversation (lead) you need to share.

2. In the top right corner click the three vertical dots then select 'Share Lead.'

3. You'll have the option to select the location and provide a message for that location. Click 'Send' when you're ready to share the lead.

4. Two messages will appear in the conversation. The first message (in blue, above the black message) is what the customer will see. The message in black is an internal message for you and the location you sent the lead to.
